Fire Stopping for UPCV Pipe Service Penetration
Fire rated pipe collars are intumescent composite based on graphite intumescent and designed to provide high volume expansion and pressure seal.
They are tested to BS476 part 20 giving fire resistance for up to 4 hours when used on UPVC, PVC and steel pipes. It is suitably used on pipes from 32mm up to 250mm diameter to prevent the passage of fire between compartment walls and floors.
The advantages of the fire rated pipe collar are as follows:
